Adding a new dimension to the Seattle Stars FC 2020 season, Masree Butler joins the program as the team sports performance coach.
Prior to joining the Stars, Butler has over eight years in strength conditioning at the high school, college and semi-pro levels.
As an athlete, Butler played college football at Santa Barbara College and arena football for the Washington Templars.
In 2014, Butler became the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Highline College for men’s basketball. He also was also an assistant trainer under Tim Vagen at Highline, one of the most decorated trainers in the world.
More recently in 2019, Butler became the head strength and conditioning coach at Cleveland High School for football and Highline College for the women’s soccer program.
In his first year at Cleveland, the football team went onto win their first division title in 40 years.
With the women’s soccer program at Highline, he helped the team go undefeated and win a NWAC Title for the third time in school history.
Prior to Cleveland and Highline, Butler spent 3 years as an assistant strength coach for Chile’s Sports Development under speed specialist Kevin Chile’s.
