Dr. Leo Romero
Chief of Staff
Dr. Romero graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Los Angeles in 1992. He completed his post-graduate work in orthopedics at Western States Chiropractic College, now known as the University of Western States (UWS). He has completed over 350 hours in orthopedics and is board eligible. Dr. Romero also been serving on the Board of Trustees (Board) at UWS since 2005 and is currently serving as the Board’s Trustee Committee Chairman.Dr. Romero is the owner and clinic director of three offices, which are located in Tacoma, Kent, and Bellevue. He has been a practicing chiropractor in Washington State for 18 years and works closely with the Hispanic and Russian communities.Dr. Romero was appointed in 2000 as a Commissioner to the Washington State Department of Health, Chiropractic Quality Assurance Commission (Commission). He served as the Commission’s Chairman from July 1, 2004 – June 30, 2007.Dr. Romero is a fellow for the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB). The Commission appointed him as the Washington State voting delegate during the FCLB’s 78th and 79th Annual Congress. Dr. Romero has also been active with the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) Competency Committee since 2000, which is a sister Board to FCLB. In addition, Dr. Romero served on an Advisory Committee at Highline Community College for the Chiropractic Technician Program from 1997 to 2000. He helped co-author a manual for the development of a new college curriculum for chiropractic technicians.
